Hyperhidrosis
Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
Sweating is a natural function of the nervous system in which the body cools down and regulates temperature. However some people experience regular excessive sweating, which is more than normal for the environment. This is commonly referred to as Hyperhidrosis. It can occur in various areas of the body where we normally sweat including under arms, face and palms of hands.
At Hampsteads we understand that Hyperhidrosis can be an embarrassing condition and can affect how you interact socially and in the workplace. We are here to treat the problem, eliminate your concerns and restore your inner and outer confidence to the full.
Hyperhidrosis treament involves the use of Botulinum toxin, commonly known as Botox, injections to reduce excessive sweating.
Botulinum toxin is a naturally purified protein that blocks the signals from the nerve endings to the sweat glands in the skin. It is applied through micro injections into the skin targeting the sweat glands in the area which requires treatment. It gives life changing results for those who suffer from this condition.
What’s more a single treatment of Botox can stop your excessive sweating for 4-6 months. Treatment will need to be repeated every 6 months to maintain results.
